Quick take: if your business runs on Microsoft 365, a Power Platform consultant can automate work inside the tools you already pay for, such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel. The TrustedAIAgencies (TAI) UK directory lists 20 AI automation firms that work with Microsoft Power Platform. Only 7 publish a price, so expect to ask for quotes on a clear brief.

To browse the firms, see Microsoft Power Platform consultants in the UK. If you are still deciding between Microsoft’s tools and others such as Zapier, Make or n8n, read Zapier alternatives for UK small businesses and n8n vs Make vs Zapier first.

What Power Platform covers

Microsoft Power Platform is Microsoft’s family of low-code tools. The parts small businesses most often ask about are:

  • Power Automate: workflows between Microsoft 365 and other apps, such as saving email attachments to SharePoint, approvals in Teams or updating a spreadsheet when a form comes in.
  • Power Apps: simple internal apps, such as a job sheet, stock check or holiday request form.
  • Copilot: Microsoft’s AI assistant, which many of these firms help businesses roll out alongside their automations.

A Power Platform consultant makes most sense when your data and your team already live in Microsoft 365. If most of your tools are outside Microsoft, a firm that works with Zapier, Make or n8n may be a simpler fit.

Who they are

Power Platform firms in TAI are mostly consultancies and IT services providers, not agencies.

TypeFirms
Consultancy10
IT services provider6
Agency4
Total20

That is 7% of the 290 UK firms TAI lists. 6 of the 20 are IT services providers, which suits businesses that want the same firm to look after their Microsoft 365 setup and their automations.

They are spread across the UK: 4 say they work UK-wide, 3 are in Scotland and 3 in London. This work is usually done remotely, so Microsoft experience matters more than location.

What else they offer

ServiceShare of the 20
Workflow automation95%
AI training and workshops55%
AI agents55%
AI strategy and audits50%
Custom AI software50%
AI chatbots25%
CRM automation20%
Document processing20%

Most firms list several services, so the shares don’t total 100%.

Training is more common here: 55% of these firms offer AI training and workshops, against 29% of HubSpot firms in TAI. 13 of the 20 also mention Microsoft Copilot. If your staff need help using Copilot and Power Automate day to day, ask for training in the same quote. For costs, see AI training for staff.

What they publish as prices

Only 7 of the 20 firms publish a price (35%). That sample is small, so the table shows the full range, and a median only where at least 5 firms publish that kind of price. Most are “from” prices. Some are fixed prices, counted at the fixed amount.

Price typeFirmsMedian starting priceLowest to highest
Audit, review or feasibility study4Not shown, fewer than 5 agencies4 firms publish a price, too few for a median
Any project build6£2,250£1,500 to £4,000
Monthly plan or retainer4Not shown, fewer than 5 agencies4 firms publish a price, too few for a median

Medians are rounded to the nearest pound.

With 4 to 6 firms per row, a single firm can move the figures a lot. For comparison, across all UK firms in TAI’s price study, as of November 2026, the median starting price is £650 for an audit, £1,500 for a project and £150 a month. See UK AI automation agency prices for the full study.

Published prices from Power Platform firms

Some of the prices these firms publish, in the form they publish them. This is not a ranking or an endorsement.

  • Blue Canvas (consultancy, Northern Ireland) publishes “Fixed-price AI audit £750; managed AI from £250 a month plus setup from £1,750”. The audit is a fixed price, the rest are “from” prices.
  • Built Logic (consultancy, London) publishes “Training from £1,500 + VAT; Feasibility Study £2,000 + VAT; Custom-Built System from £4,000 + VAT”. The feasibility study is a fixed price.
  • Digiovations (agency, East Midlands) publishes a “£499 AI Opportunity Report” and says “a single-journey pilot portal starts at £6,000” for Power Pages. The report is a fixed price, the pilot a “from” price.

Microsoft partner designations

Microsoft gives partners a Solutions Partner designation for Business Applications, which Microsoft describes as showing broad capability to deliver solutions with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. To earn that designation, a partner needs at least 70 out of 100 points on Microsoft’s capability score, which covers new customers, staff certifications and customer success.

A designation is a useful signal, especially for larger projects, but many small consultancies do good Power Automate work without one. Ask for examples similar to your job.

How to brief a Power Platform consultant

  1. Say which Microsoft 365 plan you have and how many staff use it. Some features need extra licences, so ask the consultant to flag any.
  2. List the steps of the job today: who does what, in which app, and how often.
  3. Name the systems outside Microsoft that must connect, such as your CRM or accounts software.
  4. Say who will look after it once it is built: your own staff, your IT provider or the consultant.
  5. Ask for a small first phase with a fixed scope before any wider rollout.

Questions to ask

The checklist for choosing an AI automation agency covers general vetting. For Power Platform work, also ask:

  • Will the flows run under our accounts, and will we own them?
  • Which features need extra Microsoft licences, and roughly what will they cost us?
  • How will you handle staff leaving, so flows don’t stop when an account is removed?
  • Can you train our team to make small changes themselves?
  • Are you a Microsoft Solutions Partner, and for which solution area?
