- About two in five agencies in our directory (41%) publish at least one price on their own website.
- The median published starting price is £1,500 for a one-off project, £750 for an audit and £250 a month for a monthly plan. These are advertised “from” prices, not project averages.
Method
- Sources. We used primary publishers only: the ONS, government departments, the Bank of England (via its researchers’ published summary), FSB, the British Chambers of Commerce and Start Up Loans with YouGov. We did not use figures that appear only in news stories or vendor blogs.
- Checking. We opened every source on 28 October 2026 and kept a figure only if the number appears on the source page. Each statistic shows its publisher and date.
- Comparing. Surveys differ in who they ask, how they define AI and how they weight results. Do not compare figures from different surveys as if they were one series.
- Our own figures. Statistics 39 and 40 come from our price study and are recalculated from our dataset whenever the site is built.
- Updates. We plan to update this page when the ONS publishes new AI figures.
