How we research and review
Our guides and tool reviews are research-based. This page explains exactly what that means.
How our guides and reviews are researched
- Sources: each guide is built from official documentation, providers' own pricing pages, government and regulator guidance (such as GOV.UK, HMRC and the ICO) and other public information. Every guide lists its sources at the end.
- No hands-on testing claims: we do not claim to have tested, benchmarked or used a tool in production unless a guide says so explicitly. Worked examples and cost estimates are paper calculations from published rules, and examples about specific businesses are labelled as illustrative.
- Prices: we state the date prices were checked and the currency. Where we could not confirm a figure on the provider's own page, we say so.
- Screenshots: we only use official product images from the provider's website, documentation or press kit, credited in the caption.
- Author: guides are written and checked by Edgars Lapins, founder of TrustedAIAgencies.
How agencies get listed
Listings are compiled from public sources, mainly each agency's own website, and checked for a live website, a stated UK presence and clearly described AI or automation services. Listing is free. Agencies can verify, correct or remove their listing on the For agencies page. Paid Featured placements and Sponsored ads are always labelled as paid and never change what we write about an agency. Full details are in our methodology.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to software tools in our guides may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every affiliate link is labelled (Ad) where it appears and marked as sponsored in the page code. Affiliate relationships do not change our verdicts, comparisons or which tools we recommend, and we do not accept payment for a positive review. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
